Ok so I am not much of a Blogger.

October 22, 2007

So this is my first blog since last Monday and well I still don’t really know what to talk about.  First, I finished the youth webpage for the most part and I think it looks awesome.  So check it out at www.wbcoc.comand go to youth under  ministries.  I am also looking forward to the youth group’s Halloween party and the Children’s ministries Masquerade Madness.  The Halloween party should be awesome and a whole lot of fun.  With lots of costumes, candy, and games we will be having an even better party then last year.  The Masquerade Madness is going to be interesting.  I am not sure how many people will be showing up and I am a Little bit afraid that the whole night might flop.  The game, food, and everything is going to be awesome, but I just want people to come.

Anyway, I have been reading some things on other peoples blogs and stuff.  I have learned some interesting things.  So people are really good at acting and others are not.  It is very hard for me to read blogs, webpages, and other things like that we people write things like: I love God! But then if you look around you find cursing, half naked people, and just things that scream I say I love God, but I don’t want to show it in every part of my life.  Some people just don’t get it.  They say they Love God, but they don’t get that you have to let him rule your entire life.  God is not like a hobby that you can use when you want to, HE is the creator of the universe and he wants you.  HE wants you to live a life that Screams I love and I want everyone to know it.  This doesn’t meant that you have to tell everyone that you are a Christian, but that they should see something different in you by the way you act and by what you write on the Internet.  The Internet does not give you a place to go and not act like a Christian, but it gives you another place to go and share your love for God.  OK, I am going to stop, but I want you to know that I care about this because I had a problem with that way I acted before.  I would say I love God, but then I wouldn’t show it in my life.  I hope that you can learn from my example and mean it when you say I love God.

UM . . . Yeah. Crazy Week! and a good lesson

October 15, 2007

So Today is only Monday and I it has already been a crazy week.  Every where I turn I seem to find something else to do.  It is like a never ending pile that is every where, but I love having something to do.  I don’t feel useless.  Anyway, last night I was at evening service and Bill was speaking.  One of the things he talked about was self-denial.  Bill went on to say that we need to realize that we need to give our selves over to God and deny ourselves thing when they come in conflict with our Christian life.  Most obviously are the sinful things that we should stop and then there are the other things that we look at as OK, but when we look at them they are talking our time away from God.  This hit me hard because I seem to find a reason not to do something or God a lot of time.  For example, I am watching a show and I decide to watch it when I need to work on a lesson or something like that.  God has blessed me so much and I for some reason think that my time is more important then God’s.  I will put things off and then scramble at the last second.  God wants our best and not our left overs.  We need to realize that God deserves our best because of what he gave us in his son.  I challenge everyone to make time for God rather then giving him the left overs.
